This was my 11 year olds first cut at a barbershop, he was super nervous - Alex was great with him. And in the words of my 11 year old, ‘yeah I look super fresh’! Nice atmosphere in the shop, all staff really welcoming! Highly recommended - We will be back again soon ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

About us

Phillip

Phillip is the creative director of Brooks & Co Group and as such has a wealth of experience in all forms of cutting; specifically focused on contemporary European, experimental and creative cutting.

Joe

Joe is the Director of "Brooks Leigh On Sea" and brings a wealth of experience to the shop. If you’re lucky enough to get an appointment with him you can bet you won’t be disappointed. One of the funniest guys you will ever meet, offering highly finessed cuts to boot.

Matt

Matt aka “Thursday” is the manager of our Chelmsford branch, he’s a highly skilled and passionate Barber, who loves cars, gym and cutting hair! Be prepared to wait as he is usually booked up weeks in advance, however trust us he’s worth the wait!

Alex

Alex trained at London School Of Barbering at the age of 17 and has followed that up with two years shop experience, don’t let his age fool you, his cutting abilities are fair beyond his age and continue to grow everyday.

Cam

Cam is the youngest Barber we have at Brooks and is also the first person to have completed our internal apprenticeship. He has grown to be a Barber with skill far beyond his time within the industry and has already developed a unique and technical style.

Ollie

Ollie is the Manager of Colchester, he's a young and passionate barber, with confidence in all hair styles, around Colchester he has become known as “The Mullet Man” .

Jack

Don’t let Jacks age fool you, he’s our youngest Senior Barber, but his skill outweighs his years and is creating precise clean cuts all day everyday!

Sam

Sam’s height is matched only by his creativity, he loves to produce unique haircuts as well as finding just the right haircut for you. He's also passionate about filming and social media, so expect him to get the camera out at some point!

Cameron

Cameron is one of the nicest guys you have ever met and is the second barber to go through our in house training system and as such is the epitome of what we are about at Brooks, he produces the cleanest work, day in day out with confidence and finesse.

Ben

Benjamin is the newest addition to our Chelmsford team and we couldn’t be more excited to have him! He has a background in traditional barbering and has now furthered his education into contemporary and creative cutting to make himself a very skilled all round barber.

Byurhan

Byurhan believes every great haircut starts with a great consultation. Based at Brooks Colchester, he specialises in clean, minimalist styles with a strong focus on precision and detail. His goal is simple: deliver sharp, natural-looking haircuts that suit you perfectly and grow out just as well.

Paul

With nearly 15 years of experience in haircutting, following early training under some of the industry’s most respected educators, Paul went on to work across a number of well-regarded salons throughout the local area.
Paul joined Brooks to work alongside good friend and shop owner Joe, bringing with him a wealth of experience, a considered approach to men’s hair and a genuine passion for the craft.
